The Town Council of the Town of Redvers recently passed a resolution to offer a total of $100,000 in incentives to attract two physicians to open a practice at the Redvers Health Centre. This incentive is in addition to the incentives the Redvers Health Foundation is already offering; such as paid six month living expenses, including utilities; a six month vehicle lease, and $50,000 to any doctor immediately that comes to Redvers to practise and is willing to sign a 2 year contract. Sun Country Health Region offers $10,000 moving incentive. The Redvers Health Foundation will help new doctors in any way and every way they can, each case will be looked at separately for each doctors specific needs.

We’re currently looking for two General Practitioners as well as Registered Nurses who would like to work in a friendly and progressive community located within an hour and a half of Minot, North Dakota, Brandon, Manitoba, Estevan and Weyburn Saskatchewan, 21/2 hours from Regina and 5 ½ hours from Saskatoon.. This vibrant community offers Kindergarten to Grade 12 schooling as well as a French Immersion school located in close proximity. Redvers offers a compliment of diverse services including recreational activities and shopping as well as numerous interest groups and organizations.
The Redvers Health Centre, constructed in 1997, is an integrated health facility within the Sun Country Health Region. Our 12 bed acute care hospital is nicely complimented by our 24 bed long-term care facility. The long-term care facility is being replaced by a new facility which is slated for completion by 2011. The Health Centre houses the medical clinic, a full compliment of community health and therapy services, and a well equipped lab and digital x-ray.
Health care is of primary importance to the Redvers and District Community Health Foundation. The Foundation is offering financial and other incentives to help recruit Health Professionals to live and work in Redvers. Selected candidates will receive a signing bonus as well as the option to live in a fully furnished home and/or the use of a vehicle while getting settled. Candidates may qualify for incentives through Sun Country Health Region’s recruitment and retention program as well as through the Government of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Medical Association.
